Sales Associate

About the Role

Lead other team members by example in accuracy, completeness, and adherence to company service standards. Work toward common goals of presenting the store, merchandise, and team to customers in the best possible light. Control cash and maintain accuracy of sales transactions while processing all POS terminal transactions according to policy.

Responsibilities

• Create an excellent shopping experience for customers through awareness and company service standards.
• Maintain a positive attitude, willingness to serve, and stay well-informed about products and promotions.
• Promote company rewards programs and other business initiatives.
• Maintain awareness of all current sales promotions and ensure merchandise is well-presented and properly stocked.
• Keep all store areas clean and organized, including merchandise presentation and stock arrangement.
• Develop and maintain product knowledge and fitting skills.
• Monitor Loss Prevention concerns involving customers and staff.
• Participate in physical inventories, shipping and receiving, and merchandise placement on the sales floor.
• Process all sales and POS transactions according to policy, including checking shoes for mates.

Requirements

• Interpersonal skills to effectively interact with customers and employees at all levels.
• Basic communication (verbal and non-verbal), organization, and math skills.
• Experience in retail sales, preferably in specialty retail or footwear.
• Basic knowledge of company policies and procedures.
• Basic visual merchandising skills and understanding of Store Presentation Standards.

Pay

$12.77 - $14.69 hourly.
