Sales Associate

About the role

Lead other team members by example in accuracy and completeness of work while meeting sales and work goals set by store management. Control cash, maintain accuracy of sales transactions, and process all POS terminal transactions in accordance with company policy and procedure.

Responsibilities

• Create an excellent shopping experience for customers through awareness and adherence to company service standards.
• Maintain a positive attitude, willingness to serve, and stay well-informed about products and promotions.
• Promote company rewards programs and other business initiatives.
• Maintain awareness of all current sales promotions and ensure merchandise is well-presented and properly stocked.
• Keep all areas of the store clean, organized, and visually appealing.
• Develop and maintain product knowledge and fitting skills.
• Monitor and address Loss Prevention concerns involving customers and staff.
• Participate in physical inventories, shipping and receiving merchandise, and placing merchandise on the sales floor.
• Process all sales and POS terminal transactions accurately, including checking shoes for mates.

Requirements

• Interpersonal skills to effectively engage with customers and employees at all levels.
• Basic communication (verbal and non-verbal), organization, and math skills.
• Experience in retail sales, preferably in specialty retail or footwear.
• Basic knowledge of company policies and procedures.
• Basic visual merchandising skills and understanding of Store Presentation Standards.

$10.00 - $11.50 hourly.
