Sales Associate

About the Role

Lead other team members by example in accuracy and completeness of work while meeting sales and work goals set by store management. Together with your team, present the store, merchandise, and yourselves to customers in the best possible light. Control cash, maintain accuracy of sales transactions, and process all sales and POS terminal transactions according to company policy.

Responsibilities

• Create an excellent shopping experience for customers through awareness and adherence to company service standards.
• Maintain a positive attitude, willingness to serve, and stay well-informed about products and promotions.
• Promote company rewards programs and other business initiatives.
• Maintain awareness of current sales promotions and ensure merchandise is well-presented and properly stocked.
• Keep all areas of the store clean and organized.
• Develop and maintain product knowledge and fitting skills.
• Stay aware of Loss Prevention concerns involving customers and staff.
• Participate in physical inventories, assist in shipping and receiving merchandise, and help with merchandise placement on the sales floor.
• Process all sales and POS terminal transactions in accordance with policy, including checking shoes for mates.

Requirements

• Interpersonal skills to effectively interact with customers and employees at all levels.
• Basic communication (verbal and non-verbal), organization, and math skills.
• Experience in retail sales, preferably in specialty retail or footwear.
• Basic knowledge of company policies and procedures.
• Basic visual merchandising skills and understanding of Store Presentation Standards.

Pay

$9.00 - $10.35 per hour.
