Sales Associate

About the Role

Lead other team members by example in accuracy, completeness, and adherence to the company’s service standards with each customer. Work toward common goals of presenting the store, merchandise, and staff to customers in the best possible light while meeting sales and work goals set by store management.

Responsibilities

• Create an excellent shopping experience through awareness and company service standards.
• Maintain a positive attitude, willingness to serve, and stay well-informed.
• Promote company rewards programs and other business initiatives.
• Maintain awareness of current sales promotions and merchandise presentation.
• Ensure stock is well-arranged, properly merchandised, and the store remains clean and organized.
• Develop and maintain product knowledge and fitting skills.
• Stay aware of Loss Prevention concerns involving customers and staff.
• Participate in physical inventories, assist in shipping and receiving merchandise, and place merchandise on the sales floor as needed.
• Process all sales and POS terminal transactions in accordance with policy and procedure, including checking shoes for mates and maintaining strict control of monies and sales documentation.

Requirements

• Interpersonal skills to deal effectively with customers and employees at all levels.
• Basic communication (verbal and non-verbal), organization, and math skills.
• Experience in retail sales, preferably in specialty retail or footwear.
• Basic knowledge of company policies and procedures.
• Basic visual merchandising skills and understanding of Store Presentation Standards.

Pay

$10.00 - $11.50 per hour.
