Sales Associate

About the role

Lead other team members by being an example in accuracy and completeness of work while meeting sales and work goals set by store management. Together with your team, create an excellent shopping experience by adhering to company service standards and presenting the store, merchandise, and yourselves to customers in the best possible light.

Responsibilities

• Create an excellent shopping experience for customers through awareness and company service standards.
• Maintain a positive attitude, willingness to serve, and stay well-informed about products and promotions.
• Promote company rewards programs and other business initiatives.
• Maintain awareness of all current sales promotions and ensure merchandise is well-presented and properly stocked.
• Keep all areas of the store clean, organized, and visually appealing.
• Develop and maintain product knowledge and fitting skills.
• Stay aware of Loss Prevention concerns involving customers and staff.
• Participate in physical inventories, shipping and receiving merchandise, and placing merchandise on the sales floor.
• Process all sales and POS terminal transactions in accordance with policy and procedure, including checking shoes for mates and maintaining strict control of all monies and sales documentation.

Requirements

• Interpersonal skills to deal effectively with customers and employees at all levels.
• Basic communication (verbal and non-verbal), organization, and math skills.
• Experience in retail sales, preferably in specialty retail or footwear.
• Basic knowledge of company policies and procedures.
• Basic visual merchandising skills and understanding of Store Presentation Standards.

Pay

$12.77 - $14.69 hourly.
