Sales Associate

About the Role

Lead other team members by demonstrating accuracy and completeness in your work, while collectively presenting the store, merchandise, and yourselves to customers in the best possible light. Control cash, maintain sales transaction accuracy, and process all sales and POS terminal transactions according to company policy.

Responsibilities

• Create an excellent shopping experience for customers through awareness and adherence to company service standards.
• Maintain a positive attitude, willingness to serve, and stay well-informed about products and promotions.
• Promote company rewards programs and other business initiatives.
• Stay aware of current sales promotions and maintain merchandise presentation.
• Ensure stock is well-arranged, properly merchandised, and the store remains clean and organized.
• Develop and maintain product knowledge and fitting skills.
• Monitor Loss Prevention concerns involving customers and staff.
• Participate in physical inventories, assist in shipping and receiving merchandise, and place merchandise on the sales floor as needed.
• Process all sales and POS terminal transactions in accordance with policy, including checking shoes for mates and handling cashier functions.

Requirements

• Interpersonal skills to effectively engage with customers and employees at all levels.
• Basic communication (verbal and non-verbal), organization, and math skills.
• Experience in retail sales, preferably in specialty retail or footwear.
• Basic knowledge of company policies and procedures.
• Basic visual merchandising skills and understanding of Store Presentation Standards.
