Sales Associate

About the Role

Lead other team members by example in accuracy, completeness, and adherence to company service standards. Work collaboratively to present the store, merchandise, and staff in the best possible light while meeting sales and work goals set by store management.

Responsibilities

• Create an excellent shopping experience for customers through awareness and adherence to company service standards.
• Maintain a positive attitude, willingness to serve, and stay well-informed about products and promotions.
• Promote company rewards programs and other business initiatives.
• Maintain awareness of current sales promotions and ensure merchandise is well-presented and properly stocked.
• Keep all store areas clean, organized, and visually appealing.
• Develop and maintain product knowledge and fitting skills.
• Monitor and address Loss Prevention concerns involving customers and staff.
• Participate in physical inventories, shipping and receiving, and merchandise placement on the sales floor.
• Process all sales and POS terminal transactions accurately and in accordance with policy, including checking shoes for mates.
• Maintain strict control of all monies and sales documentation.

Qualifications

• Interpersonal skills to effectively engage with customers and employees at all levels.
• Basic communication (verbal and non-verbal), organization, and math skills.
• Experience in retail sales, preferably in specialty retail or footwear.
• Basic knowledge of retail policies and procedures.
• Understanding of visual merchandising and Store Presentation Standards.
