Sales Associate

About the role

Lead other team members by example in accuracy and completeness of work while meeting sales and operational goals set by store management. Control cash, process transactions, and maintain strict accuracy of all sales documentation.

Responsibilities

• Create an excellent shopping experience by adhering to company service standards and maintaining a positive, well-informed attitude.
• Promote company rewards programs and other business initiatives; maintain awareness of current sales promotions.
• Maintain merchandise presentation, ensuring stock is well-arranged and properly merchandised.
• Keep all store areas clean and organized.
• Develop and maintain product knowledge and fitting skills.
• Monitor Loss Prevention concerns involving customers and staff.
• Participate in physical inventories, shipping and receiving merchandise, and placing merchandise on the sales floor.
• Process all sales and POS terminal transactions in accordance with policy, including checking shoes for mates.

Requirements

• Interpersonal skills to effectively engage with customers and employees at all levels.
• Basic communication (verbal and non-verbal), organization, and math skills.
• Experience in retail sales, preferably in specialty retail or footwear.
• Basic knowledge of retail policies and procedures.
• Basic visual merchandising skills and understanding of Store Presentation Standards.
