Sales Associate

About the Role

Lead other team members by example in accuracy, completeness, and adherence to company service standards. Work collaboratively to present the store, merchandise, and staff to customers in the best possible light while meeting sales and work goals set by store management.

Responsibilities

• Create an excellent shopping experience through awareness and application of company service standards.
• Maintain a positive attitude, willingness to serve, and stay well-informed about products and promotions.
• Promote company rewards programs and other business initiatives.
• Stay aware of current sales promotions and maintain merchandise presentation.
• Ensure stock is well-arranged, properly merchandised, and the store remains clean and organized.
• Develop and maintain product knowledge and fitting skills.
• Monitor and address Loss Prevention concerns involving customers and staff.
• Participate in physical inventories, shipping and receiving, and merchandise placement on the sales floor.
• Process all sales and POS terminal transactions in accordance with policy and procedure, including checking shoes for mates.
• Maintain strict control of all monies and sales documentation.

Requirements

• Interpersonal skills to effectively engage with customers and employees at all levels.
• Basic communication (verbal and non-verbal), organization, and math skills.
• Retail sales experience, preferably in specialty retail or footwear.
• Basic knowledge of retail policies and procedures.
• Understanding of visual merchandising and Store Presentation Standards.
