Sales Associate

About the role

Adhere to and practice the company’s service standards with each customer. Meet both sales and work goals as directed by store management while following company policies and procedures. Lead other team members by demonstrating accuracy and completeness in your work, working toward common goals to present the store, merchandise, and staff in the best possible light. Control cash and maintain accuracy of sales transactions, processing all sales and POS terminal transactions according to policy.

Responsibilities

• Create an excellent shopping experience for customers through awareness and adherence to company service standards.
• Maintain a positive attitude, willingness to serve, and stay well-informed about products and promotions.
• Promote company rewards programs and other business initiatives.
• Maintain awareness of current sales promotions and ensure merchandise presentation meets standards.
• Keep stock well-arranged, properly merchandised, and the store clean and organized.
• Develop and maintain product knowledge and fitting skills.
• Monitor Loss Prevention concerns involving customers and staff.
• Participate in physical inventories, assist in shipping and receiving merchandise, and help with merchandise placement on the sales floor.
• Process all sales and POS terminal transactions according to policy, including checking shoes for mates.

Qualifications

• Interpersonal skills to effectively interact with customers and employees at all levels.
• Basic communication (verbal and non-verbal), organization, and math skills.
• Experience in retail sales, preferably in specialty retail or footwear.
• Basic knowledge of company policies and procedures.
• Basic visual merchandising skills and understanding of store presentation standards.

Pay

$9.00 - $10.35 hourly.
