Sales Associate

About the Role

Lead and support your store team by demonstrating accuracy, completeness, and adherence to company service standards. Work collaboratively to present the store, merchandise, and team in the best possible light while meeting sales and operational goals set by store management.

Responsibilities

• Create an excellent shopping experience for customers by maintaining awareness of and practicing company service standards.
• Promote a positive attitude, willingness to serve, and product knowledge to assist customers effectively.
• Drive sales by promoting company rewards programs and other business initiatives.
• Maintain awareness of current sales promotions and ensure merchandise is well-presented and properly stocked.
• Keep all store areas clean, organized, and visually appealing.
• Develop and maintain product knowledge, including fitting skills for footwear.
• Monitor and address Loss Prevention concerns involving customers and staff.
• Participate in physical inventories, shipping and receiving merchandise, and placing merchandise on the sales floor as needed.
• Process all sales and POS terminal transactions accurately and in accordance with company policy and procedure.
• Ensure all shoes are checked for mates during cashier functions.

Requirements

• Interpersonal skills to effectively engage with customers and employees at all levels.
• Basic communication (verbal and non-verbal), organization, and math skills.
• Experience in retail sales, preferably in specialty retail or footwear.
• Basic knowledge of retail policies and procedures.
• Basic visual merchandising skills and understanding of store presentation standards.
