Sales Associate

About the Role

Lead other team members by example in accuracy and completeness of work while meeting sales and operational goals set by store management. Control cash, process transactions, and maintain strict accuracy of sales documentation in accordance with company policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Create an excellent shopping experience for customers through awareness and adherence to company service standards.
• Maintain a positive attitude, willingness to serve, and stay well-informed about products and promotions.
• Promote company rewards programs and other business initiatives.
• Maintain awareness of current sales promotions and ensure merchandise presentation meets company standards.
• Keep stock well-arranged, properly merchandised, and the store clean and organized.
• Develop and maintain product knowledge and fitting skills.
• Monitor Loss Prevention concerns involving customers and staff.
• Participate in physical inventories, shipping and receiving merchandise, and placing merchandise on the sales floor as needed.
• Process all sales and POS terminal transactions according to policy, including checking shoes for mates and handling cashier functions accurately.

Qualifications

• Interpersonal skills to effectively interact with customers and employees at all levels.
• Basic communication (verbal and non-verbal), organization, and math skills.
• Experience in retail sales, preferably in specialty retail or footwear.
• Basic knowledge of company policies and procedures.
• Basic visual merchandising skills and understanding of Store Presentation Standards.

Pay

$10.00 - $11.50 per hour.
