About the Role
Lead other team members by exemplifying accuracy and completeness in your work while working toward common goals of presenting the store, merchandise, and yourselves to customers in the best possible light. Control cash and maintain accuracy of sales transactions, processing all sales and POS terminal transactions according to policy and procedure.
Responsibilities
- Create an excellent shopping experience for customers through awareness and adherence to company service standards.
- Maintain a positive attitude, willingness to serve, and stay well-informed about products and promotions.
- Promote company rewards programs and other business initiatives.
- Maintain awareness of all current sales promotions and ensure merchandise presentation aligns with company standards.
- Keep stock well-arranged, properly merchandised, and maintain cleanliness and organization in all store areas.
- Develop and maintain product knowledge and fitting skills.
- Stay aware of Loss Prevention concerns involving customers and staff.
- Participate in physical inventories, assist in shipping and receiving merchandise, and help with merchandise placement on the sales floor.
- Process all sales and POS terminal transactions in accordance with policy, ensuring all shoes are checked for mates.
Requirements
- Interpersonal skills to effectively interact with customers and employees at all levels.
- Basic communication (verbal and non-verbal), organization, and math skills.
- Experience in retail sales, preferably in specialty retail or footwear.
- Basic knowledge of company policies and procedures.
- Basic visual merchandising skills and understanding of Store Presentation Standards.
