About the role
Lead other team members by example in accuracy and completeness of work while meeting sales and work goals set by store management. Control cash, maintain accuracy of sales transactions, and process all POS terminal transactions according to company policy. Create an excellent shopping experience for customers through awareness and adherence to company service standards.
Responsibilities

- Promote company rewards programs and other business initiatives.
- Maintain awareness of all current sales promotions.
- Maintain merchandise presentation, ensuring stock is well arranged and properly merchandised.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of all store areas.
- Develop and maintain necessary product knowledge and fitting skills.
- Participate in physical inventories, assist in shipping and receiving merchandise, and place merchandise on the sales floor as needed.
- Process all sales and POS terminal transactions in accordance with policy and procedure, including checking shoes for mates.
- Maintain awareness of Loss Prevention concerns involving customers and staff members.
Requirements
- Interpersonal skills to deal effectively with external contacts (primarily customers) and all levels of employees.
- Basic communication (verbal and non-verbal), organization, and math skills.
- Experience in retail sales, preferably in specialty retail or footwear.
- Basic knowledge of company policies and procedures.
- Basic visual merchandising skills and understanding of Store Presentation Standards.
