Responsibilities

• Pet First – Protect & Empower: Support the health, safety, and proper care of all animals in accordance with Petco policies and standards.
• Foster the Fun – Connect & Bond: Greet customers, create positive shopping experiences, and support store sales and service goals.
• Let's Go! – Own & Commit: Assist customers in selecting products and services that meet their pets' needs, process sales, returns, and exchanges, and support additional tasks and responsibilities.

Requirements

• Previous retail or customer service experience preferred but not required.
• Passion for animals and interest in pet care.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic math skills and comfort handling cash and transactions.
• Strong attention to detail and reliability.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Skills

• Customer service skills.
• Product knowledge.
• Inventory management.
• Point-of-sale transaction processing.

Pay

The salary range is $16.00 - $22.00 per hour, with a start rate of $17.13 per hour. The actual pay rate will depend on factors such as position, location, level of experience, and applicable state or local minimum wage laws.
