Sales Associate

About the role

The Sales Associate is responsible for executing the Mission Statement, which involves providing exceptional service to both internal and external customers. This role requires a high level of customer service, including greeting, selling, and thanking customers, while ensuring a positive shopping experience.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate selling experience in a fast-paced, service-oriented retail setting
• Provide memorable, highly personalized customer service through needs analysis and product recommendations
• Offer customers promotional products and services
• Resolve customer service issues and escalate as necessary
• Create and maintain good working relationships with fellow associates
• Maintain store appearance with respect to visual merchandising, housekeeping, and maintenance standards
• Efficiently and accurately conduct customer transactions on the Point of Sale (POS)
• Efficiently and accurately conduct receiving, cycle counts, product returns, and transfer transactions on the handheld device
• Complete any required process controls (paperwork, etc.) efficiently and accurately
• Follow company policies and procedures and maintain a safe working environment
• Understand and comply with Cash Handling and Loss Prevention Standard Operating Procedures

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum one year of retail or customer service experience
• Excellent customer service skills and effective communication in English
• Self-starter capable of prioritizing and handling multiple tasks simultaneously
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and unexpected situations
• Proficiency in reading, writing, and mathematics
• Pass the Federal Criminal History Records Check, Paradies Background Check, and applicable FAA requirements
• Department of Transportation requirements for computer work, heavy lifting (up to 40 lbs.), long standing periods, climbing, bending, night, evening, and weekend work, and holiday shifts
