Sales Associate

About the role

The Sales Associate supports the smooth operation of the retail store by stocking inventory, maintaining store cleanliness, providing excellent customer service, and handling financial transactions.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily activities to ensure efficient store operations.
• Stock shelves and monitor inventory levels.
• Maintain a clean and organized store environment.
• Deliver outstanding customer service and address any customer concerns.
• Process financial transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Perform duties in compliance with company policies and applicable regulations.
• Adhere to company uniform policy and clocking procedures.
• Operate cash register, process SNAP purchases, follow cash control and safe drop procedures, and handle lottery, beer, wine, tobacco, and money order sales.
• Complete a certified alcohol sellers' training program.

Requirements

• One or more years of experience working in a retail environment (preferred).
• Active listening and strong customer service skills, including suggestive selling techniques.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and take initiative.
• Operational excellence and effective time management.
• Must be able to lift, stand, and remain active for the duration of the shift, with frequent movement around the store.
• Must have a reliable form of communication.
• Knowledge of retail procedures, including cash handling and sales of regulated products.

Pay

Hourly range reflects the company’s good-faith estimate at the time of posting and applies only to this market. Actual compensation may vary based on experience and business needs.
