About the Role
To assist the New Home Sales Consultant (NHC) in the sales process with customers to capture new home sales. This role involves learning, practicing, and developing essential sales and marketing skills, studying and applying company guidelines, and assisting the NHC in competitive analyses and Realtor office visits. The Sales Associate (SA) will maintain community integrity, develop customer service skills, and participate in sales and training meetings. If not currently licensed, the SA will be required to earn their Real Estate Sales license. This position serves as a feeder role for New Home Consultant (NHC). Weekend work is required.
Responsibilities
- Represent M/I Homes professionally with a positive attitude.
- Support the New Home Consultant in developing a sales and marketing business plan to achieve division goals.
- Use selling skills acquired through company training with all customers.
- Arrive 15 minutes prior to posted opening hours to prepare models/sales office for a professional presentation.
- Register customers and input their information into the Pivotal system.
- Demonstrate models, inventory homes, and homesites to customers and realtors, discussing features and benefits, and exercising selling skills learned from training programs.
- Provide customers with information on community, pricing, and available financing programs.
- Assist the NHC in developing relationships with realtors through calls, emails, office visits, and marketing materials.
- Assist the NHC throughout the sales and selection process, including preparing necessary documents for homebuyers.
- Assist in creating marketing/business plans, including flyers, events, grand openings, and open houses.
- Drive through the community daily to ensure signage is clean and accurate; report and follow up on maintenance issues.
Requirements
- Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent specialized training from a two-year college or technical school, combined with relevant course study in sales and marketing techniques.
- Minimum of one year of retail sales experience and/or training.
- Real Estate license required.
