About the role
A part-time Sales Associate who is enthusiastic, energetic, friendly, and hard-working. The role focuses on providing exemplary selling and customer service to improve store productivity and profitability. The Sales Associate will engage with customers to provide product recommendations, manage inventory, and maintain store operations.
Responsibilities
- Create and maintain a warm, inviting, and easy-to-navigate shopping environment.
- Build and share expertise on products, promotions, services, and brand rewards programs tailored to customer needs.
- Assist customers in finding the perfect card and gift solutions for their needs.
- Share stories and reinforce the brand’s mission of kindness and connection.
- Handle store operations, including product replenishment, merchandising, ringing sales, processing shipments, managing inventory, fulfilling online orders, and curbside deliveries.
- Deliver an exceptional shopping experience that leaves customers inspired and eager to return.
- Work as a team to meet store sales goals by ensuring customers leave with everything they need and more.
- Uphold all company policies and practices.
- Perform housekeeping duties, including maintaining the backroom, front of store, and bathroom.
- Complete other duties or special projects as assigned.
Requirements
- If under 18, must meet work permit requirements where applicable.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including events, holidays, evenings, and weekends.
- Proof of eligibility to work legally in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- One or more years of experience in retail, sales, or customer service.

Working Conditions & Physical Demands
- Continuously stand, walk, push, pull, lift, and carry up to 10 pounds.
- Frequent bending at the waist, climbing/working at heights (e.g., step ladders, ladders), kneeling, squatting, lifting/carrying up to 40 pounds, and reaching overhead.
- Occasional balancing on uneven surfaces and lifting/carrying up to 50 pounds.
- Rarely drive or travel, lift/carry up to 75 pounds, or remain seated during job performance.
- Continuous communication with customers, co-workers, and vendors, including speaking, hearing, and sight.
- Exposure to dust, cleaning agents, truck exhaust, inadequate lighting, noise, scents (e.g., candles, lotions), outdoor work, and heights in the stockroom or product floor.
Schedule
This is a regular, part-time, hourly position averaging 6–20 hours per week, not to exceed 28 hours per week.
