About the role

The Sales Associate serves as the initial point of contact for customers visiting our retail location. In this role, you will assist with product selection and purchases, provide informed recommendations, and help create a positive shopping experience. You will also support sales growth by building strong, long-term customer relationships.

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers as they enter the store and assist them with locating products, answering questions, and recommending items based on their needs.
• Build and maintain a strong understanding of the store’s products, including features, specifications, pricing, and uses. Stay up to date on new arrivals, promotions, and special offers.
• Recognize opportunities to recommend additional or complementary products that enhance the customer’s purchase and overall experience.
• Support customers with special orders or items not available in-store, working with other departments or suppliers to ensure timely fulfillment.
• Scan merchandise, ensure pricing accuracy, process transactions efficiently, and assist customers with returns and exchanges.

Requirements

• Proven experience in inside sales, cashier, or customer service roles.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence decision-makers.
• Results-oriented mindset with a focus on achieving sales targets and delivering quality customer service.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail in managing sales pipelines and documentation.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk continuously throughout the retail store during scheduled shifts.
• Frequent climbing, bending, stooping, and twisting required to perform daily job duties.
