Sales Associate

About the role

Jockey is seeking an energetic Sales Associate to join our team at our Louisville, KY location. The role involves providing excellent customer service, maximizing sales, and engaging with guests to meet their needs.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate behavior that reflects Jockey’s core values and culture.
• Establish positive relationships with co-workers and guests, ensuring high productivity and inclusiveness in achieving satisfaction goals.
• Provide a warm, sincere greeting to all guests, including current promotional messages and suggestive selling.
• Engage all guests to identify their needs and utilize product knowledge to offer solutions and meet their needs.
• Promote company programs such as Jockey Rewards® membership and satisfaction guarantees.
• Aid in driving all aspects of store-level sales and profitability.
• Perform various sales and register transactions, including ringing purchases, processing cash or credit payments, and counting money.
• Assist with merchandising tasks such as stocking, markdowns, and visual merchandising, adhering to established standards.
• Maintain operational store standards, including visuals, merchandising, and inventory management.
• Support hiring and recruiting efforts.
• Ensure adherence to all Jockey policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• Must be 16 years of age or older.
• Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Two years of retail or customer service experience with a proven ability to demonstrate a passion for extraordinary guest service and sales.

Physical Demands/Working Environment

• Ability to move 25 pounds.
• Ability to effectively maneuver around the sales floor and stockroom, perform repetitive bending, standing, twisting, stooping, squatting, and ascending/descending ladders to stock and merchandise the store.
• Ability to work with/clean up after cleaning chemicals.
