About the role

The Sales Associate drives sales and delivers a positive customer experience while performing operational duties as assigned by store management.

Responsibilities

• Customer Experience
  • Greet customers immediately upon entering the store with a smile and sincere greeting.
  • Create a positive first impression through an energetic attitude and adherence to dress code.
  • Maintain a sparkling clean and organized store environment.
  • Provide customers with current, relevant product information.
  • Deliver quality fitting room service, follow up with customers in a timely manner, and attempt to add on to the sale.
  • Provide efficient service at the cash wrap, offer Gift Cards, and capture customer information in the database.
  • Sincerely thank all customers for shopping as they exit the store.
• Cooperation & Dependability
  • Complete all duties as assigned by management.
  • Be punctual and adhere to the designated work schedule.
  • Work well with peers and management to accomplish duties.
  • Follow all GUESS Policies and Procedures.
  • Perform housekeeping duties as required.
• Personal Performance
  • Meet or exceed Sales per Hour (SPH) goals as assigned by management.
  • Participate in and attend all store meetings and related functions.
  • Maintain a positive attitude toward the merchandise and the company.
  • Participate in all inventories.
  • Assume and complete other duties as assigned by store management.

Requirements

• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Previous retail experience preferred.
• Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Physical ability to:
  • Perform heavy lifting in excess of 30 pounds.
  • Stand for a minimum of eight hours during scheduled shifts.
  • Walk, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, and balance on a frequent basis.
