Sales Associate

Position Overview

The Sales Associate is responsible for sales generation and delivering a positive customer experience. The Sales Associate will also handle a variety of operational duties as assigned by the store management team (e.g., housekeeping duties, visual presentation standards, etc.). Reports To: Store Management

Essential Functions

• Greeting Customers: Greet customers immediately upon entering the store with a smile and sincere non-business-like greeting.
• Create a positive first impression for the customer through an energetic attitude and adherence to dress code.
• Maintain a sparkling clean and organized environment by adhering to store standards and cleanliness.
• Provide customers with current relevant information about the product.
• Provide quality service in the fitting rooms, follow up with customers in a timely manner, maintain cash wrap cleanliness, and attempt to add on to the sale.
• Provide efficient service at the cash wrap, offer Gift Cards, maintain cash wrap cleanliness, and capture customer information in the database.
• Sincerely thank all customers for shopping at GUESS as they exit the store.
• Cooperate & Dependable: Satisfactorily complete all duties as assigned by management, be punctual and adhere to the designated work schedule, work well with peers and management to accomplish duties, and follow GUESS Policies and Procedures 100%.
• Perform housekeeping duties as required.

Job Requirements

• Customer Service Skills: Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Retail Experience: Previous retail experience preferred.
• Team Player: Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
• Flexible Schedule: Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Physical Stamina: Ability to walk, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, and balance on a frequent basis.
