Responsibilities

  • Deliver legendary customer service and perfectly crafted high-quality eyewear that exceeds customer expectations.
  • Greet customers warmly, exchange names, and ensure they know what to expect.
  • Custom fit glasses and precisely place prescriptions in lenses.
  • Act as a leader in optical acumen, providing guidance to associates.
  • Take and record measurements, adjust or fit eyewear correctly, and ensure finished eyewear meets standards and customer requirements.
  • Attract new customers by exploring their needs and priorities through open-ended questions.
  • Be attentive to details, ask follow-up questions, and review prescriptions to identify special needs.
  • Assist co-workers with complex product needs and prescriptions.
  • Utilize store tools and adhere to Brand Store Commitments.
  • Perform work accurately and thoroughly despite time pressure and customer volume.
  • Demonstrate superior product knowledge, describing features and benefits of lenses and frames.
  • Reinforce customers’ final selection and anticipate problems to develop long-term solutions.
  • Partner with management to resolve customer issues and exceed expectations.
  • Multi-task, prioritize, and manage time with competing priorities.
  • Commit to delivery dates, seek feedback, and ask for referrals.
  • Strive for exceptional results on Brand KPIs and competencies.
  • Present, celebrate, and educate customers at pick-up.
  • Maintain store appearance, keeping it clean, attractive, and organized.
  • Secure and protect company assets.
  • Inform management of safety opportunities and demonstrate safe work practices.
  • Adhere to company policies, including discounting, promotions, and inventory management.
  • Sell on your feet 80%-100% of the time.
  • Perform additional duties such as customer calls and dispensing eyewear as needed.
  • Maintain proper dress code, including name tag and associate tablet.

Requirements

  • High School graduate or equivalent.
  • State Licensure as a Licensed Optician.
  • Optical dispensing experience.
  • Strong customer service skills: communicator, listener, and team builder.
  • Knowledge of current store merchandise.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Awareness of current fashion trends.
  • Selling skills – ability to use and carry an iPad/tablet.
  • Familiarity with POS systems, computers, and calculators.
