Responsibilities
- Deliver legendary customer service and perfectly crafted high-quality eyewear that exceeds customer expectations.
- Greet customers warmly, exchange names, and ensure they know what to expect.
- Custom fit glasses and precisely place prescriptions in lenses.
- Act as a leader in optical acumen, providing guidance to associates.
- Take and record measurements, adjust or fit eyewear correctly, and ensure finished eyewear meets standards and customer requirements.
- Attract new customers by exploring their needs and priorities through open-ended questions.
- Be attentive to details, ask follow-up questions, and review prescriptions to identify special needs.
- Assist co-workers with complex product needs and prescriptions.
- Utilize store tools and adhere to Brand Store Commitments.
- Perform work accurately and thoroughly despite time pressure and customer volume.
- Demonstrate superior product knowledge, describing features and benefits of lenses and frames.
- Reinforce customers’ final selection and anticipate problems to develop long-term solutions.
- Partner with management to resolve customer issues and exceed expectations.
- Multi-task, prioritize, and manage time with competing priorities.
- Commit to delivery dates, seek feedback, and ask for referrals.
- Strive for exceptional results on Brand KPIs and competencies.
- Present, celebrate, and educate customers at pick-up.
- Maintain store appearance, keeping it clean, attractive, and organized.
- Secure and protect company assets.
- Inform management of safety opportunities and demonstrate safe work practices.
- Adhere to company policies, including discounting, promotions, and inventory management.
- Sell on your feet 80%-100% of the time.
- Perform additional duties such as customer calls and dispensing eyewear as needed.
- Maintain proper dress code, including name tag and associate tablet.
Requirements
- High School graduate or equivalent.
- State Licensure as a Licensed Optician.
- Optical dispensing experience.
- Strong customer service skills: communicator, listener, and team builder.
- Knowledge of current store merchandise.
- Basic math skills.
- Awareness of current fashion trends.
- Selling skills – ability to use and carry an iPad/tablet.
- Familiarity with POS systems, computers, and calculators.
