Sales Associate

About the role

Express is seeking a Retail Sales Associate to join the team at the Louis Joliet store. The Sales Associate is responsible for providing a great in-store shopping experience while assisting with tasks such as stocking, cleaning, and folding merchandise.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean and organized sales floor, checkout, fitting room, and stock room to ensure the store is safe and inviting to customers.
• Follow company policies and procedures to ensure the safety of all associates and customers.
• Assist with product launch changes according to company standard operating procedures (SOP).
• Deliver on all aspects of the customer experience model.
• Process transactions quickly and accurately to reduce customer wait time.
• Positively resolve customer service-related issues as they arise, determining resolution or escalating further; communicate all issues and resolutions to Store Management.
• Drive credit and loyalty member programs by explaining benefits and encouraging customer participation.
• Perform other essential functions as directed by your supervisor.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 0-2 years of relevant job experience (minimum 6 months).
• Proficient in the use of technology (e.g., iPad, registers).
• Must meet defined availability criteria, including nights, weekends, and non-business hours.
• Must meet physical requirements of the role.

Skills

• Previous retail experience preferred.
• Strong customer service skills and ability to interact with customers.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, specifically with customers, sales leadership, and associates.
• Demonstrated collaborative skills and ability to work well within a team.

Pay

Actual compensation offered is dependent upon factors including work location, education, relevant skills, and experience. Pay range: $15.00 - $21.60 per hour.
