About the role
Our Hamilton store is looking for experienced, hardworking individuals to join our team of Sales Associates. In this role, you will handle phone calls, build quotes and orders for pickup or delivery, and assist customers with all their needs as they enter the store. We seek associates comfortable with face-to-face, phone, and electronic sales, using exceptional customer service and sales skills to meet or exceed company sales and margin goals.
Counter Sales associates are also responsible for the upkeep, cleanliness, maintenance, and restocking of the main store and back storage areas.
Responsibilities
- Engage in face-to-face, phone, and electronic sales
- Utilize exceptional customer service and sales skills to meet or exceed company sales and margin goals
- Maintain upkeep, cleanliness, and restocking of the main store and back storage areas
- Understand the building materials marketplace and product features
- Work to meet prospect customers’ needs with excellent customer service
- Perform suggestive and upgrade selling, as well as add-on sales
- Use effective closing techniques
- Follow up on quotes to convert them to orders
- Share expertise with others
Pay
$18–20 per hour with annual performance-based raises. Discretionary profit share after one year of employment.
Schedule
Full-time, 40+ hours per week with a set schedule.
