Sales Assistant

This position requires an individual to undertake a variety of administrative functions. The successful candidate will bring administrative skills and experience, a willingness to learn our processes and systems, and be a self-starter who is personally well-organized, detail-oriented, and committed to providing outstanding customer service and follow-up.

Responsibilities

• Enter jobs and services into computer systems
• Assist salespeople with day-to-day processes
• Handle complaints on behalf of salespeople
• Manage paperwork for returns
• Assist Manager with developing tools and procedures to streamline work processes
• Participate in product selections for the showroom
• Grow customer base and develop relationships with prospective clients
• Perform data entry
• Maintain record retention and organization
• Follow up on orders and claims
• Stay current on the wide selection of floors, benefits, and warranties offered
• Provide outstanding customer service
• Work effectively with other store employees
• Receive payment or obtain credit authorization
• Follow up in a timely and professional manner with customers on all requests or concerns
• Perform general office duties

Requirements

• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Time management skills for juggling multiple deadlines and deliveries
• Self-motivated and internally driven to excel
• Professionalism, including dependability, accountability, and punctuality
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, as well as math skills
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
• A passion for developing and maintaining long-term customer relationships
