Sales Assistant

This position requires an individual to undertake a variety of administrative functions. The ideal candidate will bring strong administrative skills and experience, along with a willingness to learn our processes and systems. A self-starter with excellent organizational skills and a commitment to outstanding customer service is essential.

Responsibilities

• Enter jobs and services into the computer system
• Assist salespeople with day-to-day processes
• Handle customer complaints on behalf of salespeople
• Manage paperwork for returns
• Assist the Manager in developing tools and procedures to streamline workflow
• Participate in product selections for the showroom
• Help grow the customer base and develop relationships with prospective clients
• Perform data entry and maintain record retention and organization
• Follow up on orders and claims
• Stay current on the wide selection of flooring products, including their benefits and warranties
• Provide outstanding customer service and work effectively with other store employees
• Process payments and obtain credit authorizations
• Follow up with customers in a timely and professional manner on all requests or concerns
• Perform general office duties

Requirements

• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong time management skills for juggling multiple deadlines and tasks
• Self-motivated and internally driven to excel
• Professionalism, including dependability, accountability, and punctuality
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, as well as math skills
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
• A passion for developing and maintaining long-term customer relationships
