About The Role
The Sales Assistant provides essential administrative and clerical support to the sales team to ensure efficient workflows and timely follow-up with both current and prospective customers. This role plays a key part in managing sales leads, maintaining accurate sales records, supporting trade show follow-up, and handling day-to-day communications.
What You’ll Do
- Process and route sales leads to the appropriate team members
- Support trade show follow-up, including literature and sample delivery
- Aid sales staff through outbound phone contacts as needed
- Maintain and update sales data, reports, and records
- Perform data entry to track sales literature, samples, and services
- Answer incoming calls, manage emails, and relay messages
- Respond to routine product questions and escalate when necessary
What We’re Looking For
- A high school diploma required; a 2- or 4-year college degree preferred
- 3–5 years of experience in customer service or sales support
- Strong telephone, written communication, and computer skills
- Proficiency with databases and word processing tools
- Highly organized, dependable, detail-oriented, and resourceful
- Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment
- A team player who can also work independently
