Sales Assistant
Responsibilities
- Enter project and order data into proprietary design software with a high level of accuracy.
- Input information into the estimating spreadsheet to develop quotes for sales representatives.
- Maintain up-to-date quote, sales, and job information in management software (SAGE).
- Review customer purchase orders for accuracy and alignment with previously issued quotes.
- Interact daily with internal teams, including sales, engineering, and accounting, to support ongoing projects and orders.
- Communicate professionally with external customers to support sales activities and order processing.
- Prepare weekly and monthly sales reports for management, ensuring data is complete and accurate.
- Perform order entry, processing, and fulfillment tasks, including entering approximately two orders per week.
- Apply basic and fractional mathematics to verify dimensions, quantities, and pricing in quotes and orders.
- Support general clerical tasks related to construction and manufacturing projects as needed.
- Organize and maintain digital and physical documentation related to sales and project activities.
- Manage time effectively to meet deadlines and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.
- Proficiency in data entry, including inputting dimensions into software and spreadsheets.
- Basic math skills, including fractional mathematics, to support estimating and order review.
- English proficiency in both speaking and writing to handle internal and external communication.
- Able to perform order entry, order processing, and order fulfillment tasks accurately.
- Strong organizational skills to manage quotes, orders, and documentation.
- Self-motivation and the ability to work independently while supporting a team.
- Clerical experience in an office environment, preferably supporting construction or manufacturing activities.

- Experience in construction or manufacturing environments is a plus.
- Familiarity with management software such as SAGE is beneficial.
- Interest in learning technical detailing and estimating concepts.
- Willingness to develop skills in AutoCAD or similar tools as career growth opportunities arise.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with sales, engineering, and accounting teams.
- Strong attention to detail when reviewing purchase orders and preparing quotes.
Pay And Benefits
The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.50/hr.
