Key Responsibilities
- Receive application engineering support requests from account managers and business development.
- Aid in product selection for standard and special applications, especially for special or challenging fan selections.
- Assist representatives in pricing special accessories and buyouts.
- Select and price the most suitable fans for the application based on specifications.
- Collaborate with account management and business development to clarify and align technical requirements.
- Provide necessary drawings to accompany the quote.
- Apply guidance from product management to ensure accurate pricing of all fans and components.
- Access the Engineering Department to interpret specifications and customer requirements.
- Review customer drawings and data.
- Work directly with vendors to secure costing for buyouts that meet customer specifications.
- Update Special Authorization with buyout and pricing information.
- Maintain current technical knowledge of company products and competitors' products.
- Keep abreast of buyout items and have a strong understanding of company products, competition, and market positioning.
- Make product and performance suggestions and recommendations to maintain competitiveness in the marketplace.
- Support cross-functional quote development to meet customer needs.
- Assess end-customer needs and provide appropriate technical recommendations.
- Collaborate with account managers and business development on the development of sales quotes.
- Follow the latest industry developments and stay updated on corporate competitors.
- Assess incoming sales opportunities for technical feasibility.
- Identify and report internal and external market improvement opportunities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering preferred or equivalent technical experience.
- 0-3 years of relevant experience required.
- Professional interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Personal and professional integrity, trustworthiness, and strong work ethic.
- Ability to understand and predict prospect behavior under various competitive scenarios.
Physical Demands/Working Conditions
- Standard office environment.
- Occasional lifting up to 20 pounds.
- Occasional climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, reaching.
- Extended working hours may be required.
Pay and Benefits
Pay: $66,000 - $73,000 dependent on experience.
