Sales Application Engineer

Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide technical support in the form of system design and generating project quotations for sales representatives, external customers, and sales staff.
• Work full-time at Compass Systems Headquarters in Barberton, OH.

Education and Qualifications

• Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related discipline from an accredited four-year college or university.
• 2 or more years of related experience.
• A combination of education & experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
• Comfortable in an entrepreneurial environment / self-starter.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational, planning, and leadership skills.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Project management and analytical skills.
• A working knowledge of Autodesk Inventor.
• Knowledge of mechanical and electrical design and calculations.
• A working knowledge of systems and software necessary to perform job function such as JobBoss(ERP System), MS Word, Excel, Adobe Acrobat, and PowerPoint.

Preferred Background

• Automotive and/or Paper Industry experience.
• Mechanical aptitude.
• Experience with Pneumatic & Mechanical conveyors, Fans and Pressure Blowers, Diverters and Loadout Systems, Dust Collection Systems, Balers.
