Sales and Service Manager
About the role
Precision Door Service is seeking a Sales Supervisor to lead and train our Sales and Service technicians.
Responsibilities
- Reviews estimator’s and technician’s sales performance; addresses sales performance related issues as needed
- Rides along and/or meets with technicians while they are on job sites to review their performance after the appointment; assists technicians with sales-related work assignments providing sales training or advice as needed on a daily basis
- Reviews and recommends candidates for hire; follows company policies for interviewing, hiring, and training; recommends termination of staff as needed
- Manages and resolves customer complaints involving any type of issue; obtains technician’s account of the appointment whenever possible
- Provides sales training to estimators and technicians
- Acts as a backup for the Service Technicians
- Will go out and do Door Estimates as needed
- Works with Senior Management to set sales goals and ensure that all technicians maintain focus to meet and exceed goals
- Experience in Sales coaching
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED; supplemented by FIVE (5) or more years’ proven sales experience estimating, bidding, and closing deals directly with customers (Business to Customer experience)
- MUST have two or more years supervisory experience; or an equivalent combination of education, certification, training, and/or experience
- Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and excellent driving record
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products or services to include marketing strategy and tactics, product demonstration, sales techniques, and sales control systems
- Knowledge of scheduling, delegation, problem resolution, and supervisory techniques
- Skill in using Microsoft Office products (Word, Outlook, and Excel)
- Skill in using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems
- Skill in developing and delivering engaging and effective training programs
- Skill in selecting and using appropriate training/instructional methods and procedures when learning or teaching new things
- Ability to think analytically
- Ability to provide direction to staff in a clear and objective manner
- Ability to provide excellent customer service
- Ability to cooperate and solve problems in a team environment
- Ability to follow complex instructions and communicate effectively orally and in writing
- Ability to organize work for timely completion
- Ability to plan, organize, and execute the daily activities required to manage the sales activities of the company
