Sales and Production Associate

Responsibilities

• Aid in creating a pleasant and hospitable work environment and maintain good customer relationships.
• Support store operations by serving all customers in a courteous and efficient manner.
• Handle all donations with care and donors with respect and courtesy.
• Maintain merchandise as directed, ensuring proper categories and colorization.
• Ensure the store is sufficiently stocked and “ragged out” according to the “ARC COMMAND RAG OUT CALENDAR.”
• Clean and maintain the store property.
• Report theft, customer complaints, injuries, and unsafe conditions immediately to management.
• Maintain a clean and clutter-free work area.
• Be familiar with and adhere to the Guide to Thrift Store & Donation Center Operations manual.
• Support the work therapy program by providing professional conduct, work habits, and supervision (as directed).
• Perform cashier/sales floor duties, including cash handling, daily sales reports, and bank deposits.
• Price, sort, stock, and “rag out” showcase merchandise and other areas as directed.
• Operate as a sorter, assisting with sorting garments at a rate of 300 per hour.
• Operate as a hanger/tagger, hanging and ticketing clothing on rolling racks from the sorting table.
• Operate as a pricer, pricing garments at a rate of 250 per hour.
• Operate as a runner, placing garments from the production room to the sales floor.
• Operate as a bric a brac operator, sorting and cleaning miscellaneous merchandise donations.
• Operate as a shoes/accessories operator, sorting and cleaning footwear, handbags, and accessories.
• Operate as a domestics operator, sorting and measuring linen items.
• Operate as a books/records/toys operator, sorting and cleaning merchandise daily.
• Operate as a furniture/electrical operator, sorting, cleaning, testing, and pricing donations.
• Operate as a donations/maintenance operator, accepting donations, maintaining cleanliness, safeguarding materials, and ensuring a constant flow of donations.
