Sales and Production Associate

About the role

The Salvation Army's Adult Rehabilitation Centers make a difference in people's lives. Through the collection and resale of gently used goods, we provide the financial support to assist men and women with various social and spiritual afflictions. The in-residence rehabilitation program focuses on basic necessities, offering a clean and healthy living environment, good food, work therapy, leisure time activities, group and individual counseling, and spiritual direction. Our goal is to develop life skills and a personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ.

Responsibilities

• Aid in creating a pleasant and hospitable work environment and maintain good customer relationships.
• Assist, as required, with store operations.
• Serve all customers in a courteous and efficient manner.
• Handle all donations with care and donors with respect and courtesy.
• Handle merchandise as directed, always maintaining proper categories and colorization.
• Absolutely ensure that the store is sufficiently stocked and "ragged out" in accordance with the "ARC COMMAND RAG OUT CALENDAR."
• Assist in cleaning and general maintenance of store property.
• Immediately report theft, customer complaints, injuries, and any unsafe equipment or conditions to management.
• Maintain a clean and clutter-free work area.
• Be well-versed in and comply with store policies as communicated.
• Support the work therapy program component of The Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Centers by providing beneficiaries with an example of professional conduct and work habits.
• Perform other duties as may be assigned by immediate supervisor, Store Supervisor, and/or Administrator.

Qualifications

• Ability to speak and understand English for effective communication with supervisors, employees, beneficiaries, and customers.
• Good customer service skills.
• Ability to understand and follow directions.
