Sales and Management Intern

This position is integral to our mission of providing the best shopping experience for our Guests. Interns assist in various sales, merchandising, and operational tasks under the guidance of store management.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Greet Guests with friendly service and assist with their needs.
• Recommend and assist in selecting and fitting merchandise.
• Manage special orders and communicate with other stores.
• Recruit and train new Teammates.
• Manage visual merchandising and merchandise turns.
• Operate POS systems and adhere to loss prevention guidelines.
• Contribute to a positive team atmosphere and provide feedback to management.

Internship Duties

• Complete Teammate Orientation, Leadership, and Recruiting sections of the Buckle Management Manual.
• Develop recruiting, merchandising, and leadership skills.
• Participate in monthly conference calls.
• Lead and motivate the team using Performance Tracker tools.
• Perform special projects and other duties as assigned.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

The intern must be able to stand, walk, use hands, reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and talk or hear. They must also lift and maneuver up to 50 lbs. The work environment includes a retail store setting with moderate noise levels.
