Sales and Leadership Trainee - Spring 2027

About the role

The Sales and Leadership Training (SaLT) Program at Yancey Brothers Co. is a dynamic, full‑time, 12‑week rotation‑based training offered twice a year with flexible start dates. Trainees gain hands‑on experience across business divisions through a blend of in‑person and computer‑based training focused on sales and leadership fundamentals, including job shadowing, on‑the‑job learning, rotational assignments, interactive classroom sessions, and leadership development activities. From day one each trainee is assigned a “home base assignment” to build specific job skills while immersing in Yancey’s culture and core values. Upon successful completion, trainees transition full‑time into their home base assignment as SaLT Alumni, positioning them for a long‑term career in sales and leadership.

Responsibilities

• Gain hands‑on experience across business divisions
• Participate in job shadowing and on‑the‑job learning
• Complete rotational assignments exposing you to multiple departments and functions
• Attend interactive classroom sessions focused on sales and leadership fundamentals
• Engage in leadership development activities to strengthen skills and broaden organizational understanding
• Begin with a home base assignment to build specific job skills and immerse in Yancey’s culture
• Connect with team members at all levels to gain insight into their roles and responsibilities
• Travel periodically to the Austell, GA location for SaLT Program meetings, trainings, and site visits (hotel accommodations provided and mileage reimbursed)

Requirements

We are looking for candidates with prior experience working or volunteering in sales, retail, management, or customer service roles. Good communication skills, a desire to learn, and a willingness to listen are essential for maintaining relationships with customers and coworkers. A sense of urgency and a commitment to providing superior customer service are required, as is the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Education/Experience: College degree or related equivalent experience. Long‑term interest in future sales and leadership opportunities with Yancey Bros. Co. is preferred.
