Sales Analyst
Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Sales Analyst to support data-driven decision-making within our Industrial Equipment Manufacturing business. This role plays a critical part in optimizing sales performance through insightful reporting, CRM data management, and market analysis.
Responsibilities
Develop, maintain, and enhance sales dashboards and reports to track KPIs, pipeline health, and revenue performance.
Analyze sales data to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for growth.
Provide regular and ad hoc reporting to sales leadership and cross-functional teams.
Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across reporting systems.
Serve as a key user and subject-matter expert for the company’s CRM platform (e.g., Dynamics 365, Salesforce).
Maintain data quality, enforce standards, and support user adoption across sales teams.
Partner with sales, marketing, and IT teams to improve CRM workflows, automation, and functionality.
Identify opportunities to expand CRM capabilities and contribute to system enhancements, configuration, and optimization.
Conduct market research and competitive analysis specific to the industrial equipment manufacturing industry.
Analyze customer segments, purchasing trends, and geographic performance to support strategic planning.
Provide insights into pricing, demand trends, and market dynamics.
Support forecasting and long-range planning initiatives.
Aid in sales forecasting, territory planning, and quota setting.
Assist with pricing analysis and margin improvement initiatives.
Collaborate with finance, operations, and marketing to align data and insights.
Document processes and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Data Analytics, or related field.
3+ years of experience in a Sales Analyst, Business Analyst, or similar role.
Hands-on experience with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics 365, or equivalent).
Strong analytical and quantitative skills with proficiency in Excel and data analysis tools.
Experience creating reports and dashboards (Power BI, Tableau, or similar).
Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
Prior Experience
Preferred experience in industrial equipment manufacturing or related B2B industries.
Demonstrated interest or experience in CRM development, configuration, or optimization.
Knowledge of sales processes including pipeline management, forecasting, and territory planning.
SQL or other data querying experience.
Familiarity with ERP systems and integration with CRM platforms.
