Sales Administrator
Responsibilities
- Generate accurate and timely quotes for customers based on their requirements and available products.
- Process, review, and edit customer orders to ensure completeness, accuracy, and alignment with company policies.
- Manage customer relationships by clearly communicating lead times, setting expectations, and addressing perceptions and concerns.
- Cook up with internal departments to resolve issues, answer questions, and ensure customers receive appropriate service.
- Educate assigned accounts and business partners on available products, features, and solutions.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with assigned accounts and business partners to support long-term partnerships.
- Proactively identify new opportunities within existing customer accounts and other segments of those accounts.
- Prepare, create, and maintain reports using Microsoft Excel to support sales activities and decision-making.
- Perform data entry and administrative support tasks to keep customer records, orders, and documentation accurate and up to date.
- Collaborate effectively with the outside sales team and other colleagues to support shared goals and deliver consistent customer service.
Essential Skills
- Associates degree and 1+ years of sales support or administrative experience, or a high school diploma and 2+ years of relevant experience.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including strong skills in Microsoft Excel.
- Accurate and efficient data entry skills with strong attention to detail.
- Experience in sales support, sales administration, or administrative support roles.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks such as quoting, order processing, and customer communication in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong verbal communication skills and professional telephone manner.
- Clear and effective written communication skills for emails, documentation, and reporting.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Knowledge of SAP or similar enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems is a plus.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to create and maintain reports, is preferred.
- Telecommunication industry experience is highly desirable.
- Previous experience working with internal cross-functional teams such as operations, production, or customer service.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships with customers and business partners.
- Proactive mindset with the ability to identify new sales opportunities within existing accounts.
Work Environment
This is a fully onsite position, working Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The role primarily involves computer-based work in an office setting within a manufacturing facility that performs light-duty assembly. Approximately 260 people work onsite, creating a busy and collaborative environment.
