About the role
We are hiring a Senior Account Manager to grow our book of business in the aviation aftermarket. Commercial or business jet, we are open on both, because what we care about is whether you have real relationships and a record of turning them into revenue. This is not a quoting seat. You will own accounts, work the phone and the road, negotiate your own deals, and carry a number you are accountable for. You should arrive with customers who take your call, and you should expect to add to that list every quarter. We are a sales driven company and we make no apology for it. Performance is visible here, results get rewarded quickly, and the people who close get more accounts, more support, and more upside.
Responsibilities
- Own and grow a portfolio of accounts across airlines, MROs, operators, leasing companies, and brokers.
- Bring your existing relationships to the table and convert them into business in your first months, not your second year.
- Prospect new accounts consistently, since we expect the book to grow rather than hold steady.
- Negotiate contracts, agreements, and pricing that hit both the customer's needs and our margin targets.
- Represent SAS at trade shows, conferences, and customer sites, including international travel.
- Keep your pipeline, activity, quoting, and account records current in Salesforce and AvSight, because our forecast depends on it.
Requirements
- 4 or more years selling in the aviation aftermarket, commercial or business jet, both are welcome.
- A proven portfolio of customer relationships you built and kept, with names and results you can speak to.
- A record of carrying and hitting a revenue number, and the ability to walk us through how you did it.
- Working knowledge of aftermarket supply chain dynamics, including how operators, MROs, and channel partners actually buy.
- Strong negotiation skills and the judgment to know when to hold price and when to move.
- Willingness to travel globally
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Aviation, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience.
Nice to Have
- Salesforce or AvSight experience.
Compensation and Benefits
- Base salary plus uncapped commission, with real upside for people who overachieve.
- Comprehensive health insurance coverage.
- 401(k) with company match for US based employees.
