Sales Account Manager – Food Manufacturing - Northern New England Reports to: Director of Sales Status: Full-time Salaried position Territories: New Hampshire, Maine, and Vermont. Headquarters: Boston, MA Boston Salads is an innovative creator of fresh, healthy salads and deli entrees for the New England region with two Boston locations. The Account Manager’s role is to expand Boston Salads’ client base through personal outreach, cultivating incoming interest, superior account maintenance, and attending trade shows and industry events. The Account Manager will be responsible for guiding customers through the entire sales cycle, including conducting on-site meetings or tastings, generating proposals, negotiating pricing, and managing ongoing orders. Territories: New Hampshire, Maine, and Vermont. 75% local/regional travel required. Salary: $100,000 base and bonus Specific Responsibilities: Prospect and profitably grow business with new and existing customers, with a focus on exceeding annual goalsOnboard new customer accounts, including communication, documentation, credit approval, marketing materials, signage, follow-up, etc.Professional and hands-on management of established accounts through the entire sales cycleAbility to develop business relationships that allow for root cause issue resolution. Responds to all customer questions within 24 hours.Develop and maintain good, professional working relationships with the Director of Sales as well as key stakeholders; meet with sales team occasionally in BostonKeep records of all new business efforts and activity; track data on company sales database; run and analyze data reportsHost product tastings and meet with prospective and existing customersKeep abreast of Boston Salads’ product initiatives and offerings as well as competitive intelligenceWork in compliance with Boston Salads’ sales policies and initiativesTake a proactive position in ensuring the highest quality service standards, billing accuracy, and resolution follow-throughCollaborate with Production team to ensure inventories for future ordersEducation: Bachelor’s Degree Work Experience: Must have at least 5 years of successful sales experience in food industry salesExperience with sales systems and databases; experience running sales reports and analysesMust have working knowledge of credit and billing processes Job Skills: Must have demonstrable sales ability, customer service skills, and knowledge of our productsPolished communicatorMust have dedication to excellence and a strong work ethic; extremely motivated; highly productive; go-getterGood with numbers; analytical; must love dataMust have very strong attention to detail; good prooferPositive, collaborative work style; talk less and listen more; can develop relationships with key players in the industry Boston Salads requires background checks and, as part of a federally regulated industry, pre-employment drug testing, including marijuana.
