About the role
The Sales Account Executive will develop new business opportunities and build long-term relationships with existing and prospective clients. This position involves new business development, customer needs analysis, IT solution sales, contract negotiation, and long-term account management.
You will build relationships with executives, C-level contacts, department heads, and key decision-makers while proposing network, IT infrastructure, cloud, and other technology solutions tailored to each client’s business needs. The role requires independently managing the full sales cycle—from prospecting and initial consultation through proposal development, negotiation, closing, implementation support, and ongoing account development.
Responsibilities
- Prospect and develop new corporate clients and sales opportunities.
- Qualify prospective clients based on their needs, budget, timing, and decision-making process.
- Propose IT products and services aligned with each client’s business and operational requirements.
- Sell network, IT infrastructure, cloud, systems integration, managed services, and related technology solutions.
- Build relationships with executives, C-level contacts, department heads, and other key decision-makers.
- Conduct consultative sales by understanding clients’ business strategies and operational challenges.
- Clearly communicate the company’s value proposition, service capabilities, and competitive advantages.
- Prepare proposals, presentations, and quotations tailored to client requirements.
- Manage the complete sales process from initial contact through contract execution.
- Maintain long-term relationships with existing clients and identify additional business opportunities.
- Develop account plans and sales strategies for assigned clients and prospects.
- Support the development of annual sales targets, gross profit goals, and sales activity plans.
- Analyze market trends, competitive conditions, customer needs, and economic factors.
- Manage the sales pipeline and prepare accurate sales forecasts.
- Provide regular updates to management regarding sales activities and opportunity status.
- Plan and execute activities necessary to achieve assigned sales targets.
- Collaborate with internal project management, engineering, and operations teams.
- Support both pre-sales activities and post-sale implementation and service coordination.
- Manage opportunities involving complex enterprise networks, network design, IT infrastructure, and customized technology solutions.
- Stay current on emerging technologies, market developments, and industry trends.
- Recommend improvements to sales techniques, procedures, and internal processes.
- Represent the company and its brand with professionalism and integrity.
- Perform other sales-related duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience; MBA or related graduate degree preferred.
- Approximately two to five years of corporate sales or related professional experience.
- Sales experience in telecommunications, networks, IT infrastructure, cloud services, systems integration, or technology services.
- Experience in new business development and consultative sales to existing clients.
- Experience with account planning and account management.
- Demonstrated success in meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Experience selling complex business-to-business technology solutions is preferred.

Pay
$60,000–$90,000 per year
This position is based in New York City and may require regular interaction with domestic and international clients and internal teams. Responsibilities may be adjusted based on the selected candidate’s experience and the needs of the sales department.
