About the role

Established in 1981, Orient Express Container (OEC) Group is one of the top freight forwarders in the transportation industry. We provide freight transportation, logistics, and information services to over 50,000 customers through a network of global offices.

Responsibilities

- Execute full sales lifecycle processes from pre-work, detailed discovery conversations, and informative meetings to identify the needs of prospective clients and perform as a trusted advisor for their forwarding needs. - Prospect and establish a book of business through cold calling, electronic media, seminars, trade shows, in-person presentations, etc. - Present OEC Group's service offerings: Ocean Import/Export, Air Import/Export, Distribution & Warehousing, Trucking, Cargo Insurance, and Customs Brokerage. - Collaborate with CRM Specialists to create sales presence in local market. - Maintain communication with internal teams and overseas offices. - Travel locally for client meetings and presentations. - Meet monthly revenue quotas based on monthly salary. - Maintain professional email and phone etiquette. - Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word and Excel. - Maintain 10-days PTO, Employee Appreciation Days, Paid Holidays, Sick/Flex time. - Participate in annual performance and mid-year reviews for potential salary increases. - Maintain full health insurance coverage including medical, dental, vision, term life, and accident insurance. - Participate in a 401K retirement plan with a 3% company match. - Receive discounted pet insurance. - Possess a Bachelor's Degree is highly preferred.

Qualifications

- Minimum 1 year's experience in a freight forwarding role is required. - Previous experience directly selling ocean and/or air services is preferred. - Previous experience using the ERP system, CargoWise One, is preferred. - Entrepreneurial spirit; team player; problem solver. - High emotional intelligence and communication skills. - Professional email and phone etiquette. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word and Excel. - Bachelor's Degree is highly preferred.
