SailPoint Engineering lead, IAM
About the role
The Engineering Lead, IAM role serves as the internal owner and technical authority for Digital Realty's SailPoint Identity Security Cloud (ISC) platform. This role leads the Identity Governance and Administration (IGA) strategy, architecture, and delivery, ensuring access lifecycle management, certifications, and compliance controls are designed and executed to meet global regulatory and operational requirements.
Responsibilities
Own and drive the multi-year IGA roadmap and strategy.
Define SailPoint ISC architecture across Joiner-Mover-Leaver (JML) lifecycle processes, access certifications, role models, and connectors.
Build and deliver SailPoint ISC capabilities, including workflows, lifecycle rules, access requests, and certification campaigns.
Establish configuration-as-code practices utilizing GitHub, CI/CD pipelines, source control, and automated testing as the standard operating model.
Lead, mentor, and quality-gate offshore delivery teams.
Govern systems integrator (SI) partners and ensure deliverables meet architecture, security, and operational standards.
Own SOX User Access Review (UAR) campaigns, audit evidence collection, and compliance engagements.
Ensure identity governance controls align with regulatory requirements, including NIS2 and DORA.
Define and implement governance for non-human identities, including service accounts, APIs, machine identities, and privileged access integrations.
Requirements
8–10 years of Identity and Access Management (IAM) experience, including 4+ years of hands-on SailPoint Identity Security Cloud (IdentityNow) experience.
Proven experience designing and implementing end-to-end Joiner-Mover-Leaver (JML) lifecycle processes.
Experience owning enterprise IGA architecture and delivering multi-year roadmap initiatives.
Strong expertise in access certifications, SOX User Access Reviews (UARs), audit readiness, and compliance engagement.
Deep knowledge of non-human identity governance, including service account lifecycle management, NHI discovery and classification, PAM/IGA integration, and secrets management practices.
Experience operating identity governance programs within large-scale enterprise environments supporting 10,000+ identities.
DevOps mindset with hands-on experience implementing CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and configuration-as-code methodologies.
Advanced SailPoint ISC technical expertise, including rules, APIs, connectors, workflows, and integrations.
Experience integrating identity platforms with Oracle HCM, Active Directory, and Microsoft Entra ID.
SailPoint ISC Certified Engineer (or equivalent) strongly preferred; CISSP and/or CISM certifications preferred.
