Sailpoint Engineer
About the role
We are seeking a hands-on SailPoint Identity Security Cloud (IdentityNow) Engineer to support the implementation, integration, and ongoing operation of the client's Identity Governance and Administration (IGA) environment. This role focuses on onboarding applications, supporting integrations, developing and troubleshooting connectors, implementing provisioning capabilities, and providing production support.
Responsibilities
- Onboard new applications and systems into SailPoint Identity Security Cloud.
- Gather and review application integration requirements.
- Configure identity profiles, sources, account schemas, correlation logic, and aggregation processes.
- Implement access provisioning and deprovisioning for connected applications.
- Support integrations with databases, REST APIs, ServiceNow, mainframe systems, and custom enterprise applications.
- Test integrations and provisioning processes before production deployment.
- Document integration configurations, technical requirements, and support procedures.
- Configure and support standard SailPoint connectors.
- Develop custom connectors when standard connector capabilities do not meet application requirements.
- Support JDBC/database connectors, Web Services and REST API connectors, ServiceNow integrations, mainframe integrations, custom application connectors, and potential SCIM integrations.
- Troubleshoot aggregation, authentication, connectivity, data mapping, and provisioning issues.
- Modify connector configurations, rules, workflows, and provisioning plans as needed.
- Implement automated account creation, modification, disablement, and removal processes.
- Support Joiner-Mover-Leaver identity lifecycle workflows.
- Configure and troubleshoot provisioning plans and access request workflows.
- Improve identity data accuracy and account correlation.
- Support role-based access, access policies, approval processes, and governance controls as required by the project.
- Support the ongoing integration between SailPoint and ServiceNow.
- Aid with access request, service catalog, service desk, incident, and ticket-management workflows.
- Troubleshoot data exchanges and workflow issues between SailPoint and ServiceNow.
- Support automation to reduce manual IAM support activities.
- Provide production support for the SailPoint Identity Security Cloud environment and connected applications.
- Investigate connector failures, provisioning errors, aggregation issues, and access-related incidents.
- Perform root-cause analysis and implement corrective solutions.
- Maintain scheduled jobs, integrations, workflows, and connector performance.
- Collaborate with application owners, infrastructure teams, security teams, and ServiceNow support teams to resolve technical issues.
- Support platform upgrades, maintenance activities, and configuration changes.
- Develop and maintain SailPoint configurations, workflows, rules, and custom integration components.
- Build and maintain custom connector logic and provisioning processes.
- Work with REST APIs, SQL, XML, JSON, and PowerShell.
- Follow established development, testing, change management, and deployment procedures.
- Support access certifications, access reviews, and audit-related activities.
- Aid with the implementation and maintenance of access controls, role-based access, segregation-of-duties controls, and identity governance policies.
- Generate technical documentation and supporting evidence for audits and compliance reviews.
- Ensure integrations and provisioning processes follow established IAM and security standards.
Qualifications
- Hands-on experience implementing or supporting SailPoint Identity Security Cloud (IdentityNow).
- Experience onboarding applications into SailPoint.
- Experience configuring, supporting, and troubleshooting SailPoint connectors.
- Experience developing custom connectors, workflows, rules, or provisioning plans.
- Experience implementing automated account provisioning and deprovisioning.
- Experience with JDBC or database-based integrations.
- Experience integrating applications through Web Services or REST APIs.
- Working knowledge of SQL, XML, JSON, PowerShell, and REST-based integration methods.
- Experience troubleshooting identity aggregation, account correlation, authentication, and provisioning issues.
- Understanding of identity lifecycle management, including Joiner-Mover-Leaver processes.
- Understanding of identity governance concepts including access requests, approvals, certifications, role-based access control (RBAC), and segregation of duties.
- Experience providing production support for enterprise IAM or identity governance platforms.
- Ability to work with application owners and technical teams to gather requirements and resolve integration issues.
- Experience working within Agile or structured application delivery environments.
- Strong technical documentation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
