Position Summary

Under the supervision of the Saganing Count Team Supervisor, conduct the removal (drop) of company funds from slot machines, kiosk machines, and other gaming devices on the gaming floor. Count, record, and reconcile the contents of all slot currency acceptor boxes and kiosk drop funds within Minimum Internal Control Standards and Departmental Standard Operating Procedures.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Conduct the drop of the bill validator drop boxes and the kiosk machines and any other gaming devices (e.g., removal and replacement of slot machine bill validator boxes, etc.).
  • Open, empty, and close all drop boxes or cassettes according to procedures.
  • Sort and prepare funds for the count process.
  • Operate mechanical counting equipment utilized for the count.
  • Strap and bundle money according to specific denominations.
  • Prepare the drop for verification and documentation.
  • Prepare various reports required for the drop/count process.
  • Fill kiosk inventories as needed with cash and coin.
  • Aid with kiosk malfunctions and issues.
  • Reconcile Kiosk and Cash Recyclers monthly.
  • Perform general upkeep to ensure neatness of count room; report to Count Team Supervisor any needed repair or maintenance to equipment.
  • Comply with the gaming ordinance, gaming regulations, internal controls, SELC safety and security procedures, and departmental and SELC policies and procedures.
  • P practice Saganing Hospitality Rules with every internal and external guest.
  • Aid in maintaining a pleasant environment by removing and disposing of trash, cleaning up spills and clutter, and keeping work areas organized.
  • Provide excellent customer service for all internal and external customers of the operations at all times. Provide solutions for customer concerns and continually focus on customer service as our top priority.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must be 18 years of age.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a gaming license to meet the employment eligibility requirements as they pertain to the position.

Desired Qualifications

  • Six months cash handling experience.
  • Gaming, banking, or customer service experience.

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

  • Knowledge of computers, gaming devices and safety equipment.
  • Knowledge of basic accounting, math, and record keeping practices and procedures.
  • Knowledge of proper spelling, grammar, and punctuation, and basic arithmetic.
  • Knowledge of casino software programs and equipment related to count team operations.
  • Skill in accurately recording numbers and payouts.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to complete and pass Title 31 training and assessment.
  • Ability to work independently and handle stressful situations.
  • Ability to work as a team.
  • Ability to operate a calculator, adding machine, and currency counting and sorting machines.
  • Ability to interact and maintain good working relationships with individuals of varying social and cultural backgrounds.
  • Ability to work extended hours and various work schedules.
  • Ability to follow instructions and abide by department, policies and procedures.
  • Ability to read and comprehend documents such as operating and maintenance instructions, and policy and procedures.
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding area as well as be familiar with a high volume and fast paced environment.
  • Ability to handle large amounts of currency utilizing basic math skills.

Physical Demands

  • Frequent use of hands, wrists, fingers associated with computer equipment and the counting/strapping of money.
  • Frequent standing and walking for extended periods of time.
  • Frequent bending and squatting.
  • Frequent pushing and pulling of carts utilized for the drop and fill procedures.
  • Independently lift up to 75 pounds.

Work Environment

  • Frequent walking and standing in a smoking environment and contact with the general public.
  • Constant visual stimulation via neon lights on slot machines, repeatedly changing machine video screens, static or flashing signs throughout the casino and constant machine and crowd noise.
  • Extended hours and irregular shifts may be required.
