Safety Technician - Kingsport, TN

About the role

The Safety Technician is responsible for ensuring the safety of employees and visitors at the Kingsport, TN facility. They will conduct regular inspections, maintain safety equipment, and implement safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Conducts routine safety inspections and maintains records of findings
• Maintains and ensures proper operation of safety equipment
• Implements and enforces safety policies and procedures
• Responds to emergency situations and coordinates with first responders
• Participates in safety training programs and conducts safety meetings

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license
• At least 2 years of related work experience in a manufacturing environment
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety standards
• Ability to operate a forklift and other industrial equipment

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications

Skills

• First Aid/CPR certification
• Basic computer skills
• Good physical condition to perform safety-related tasks

Pay

$18.00 - $20.00 per hour

Schedule

Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
