About the role
Create a safe working environment for team members by developing and implementing effective safety programs, conducting training focused on workplace safety, and maintaining compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze safety performance metrics
- Promote a safe work culture within a high-paced manufacturing environment
- Coordinate emergency response plans and safety drills
- Maintain safety documentation and reports
- Investigate incidents and accidents and assist in creating countermeasures to prevent reoccurrence
- Provide safety training and certifications to team members
- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits
- Develop and implement safety policies and procedures
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- 3-5 years of safety experience in manufacturing or construction
- Experience in hazard identification, risk assessment, regulatory compliance, and abatement
- Strong communication (verbal and written) and problem-solving skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office 365, safety management software, and tools
- Must pass drug screens, background checks, and pre-employment tests as required by law
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in occupational health and safety or related field
- Certification such as CSP (Certified Safety Professional), CHST (Construction Health and Safety Technician), or CSHO (Certified Safety and Health Official)
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
- First Aid/CPR trainer certification is a plus

Physical Requirements
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 35 lbs and occasionally up to 50 lbs

- Work in multiple climates, including hot/cold temperatures and dusty environments
