About the role
This role will provide business-aligned guidance focused on governance, compliance, and operational risk management. You will partner with leaders, compliance stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to translate complex issues into practical recommendations. The position offers the opportunity to strengthen responsible execution, improve decision-making, and support sustainable growth within a manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Employ statistically sound analyses to address safety and regulatory questions
- Quantify and assess risk using large-scale time-series and structured datasets
- Translate complex analyses for engineering teams' actionable insights
- Develop automated analysis workflows for continuous safety monitoring
- Select and validate statistical approaches for sparse or noisy data
- Communicate findings to technical leaders and safety stakeholders effectively
Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Statistics or a related field
- M.S. with 3+ years or PhD with 1+ year of relevant experience
- Strong background in applied statistics, safety analysis, and risk estimation
- Experience in safety-critical domains such as autonomous vehicles or automotive
- Hands-on experience with complex, real-world datasets
- Proficiency in Python for analysis, with SQL/R as a plus
- Ability to communicate statistical concepts to non-technical audiences

Compensation: $145,900 – $175,100 annually
