Safety Shift Lead

About the role

The Shift Security Lead will supervise and coordinate the delivery of quality services on a specific shift at the Bush Intercontinental Airport Kitchen Facility. The Security Lead Agent will monitor facility access, conduct routine patrols, enforce security procedures, and respond appropriately to incidents while maintaining professionalism in a fast-paced airport catering environment.

Responsibilities

• Act as a liaison between site Lead, Manager / Field Operations Manager, and professional security officers.
• Be standing or walking outdoors for the duration of the shift.
• Provide excellent customer service as a top priority.
• Observe, survey the area and provide reporting on activity at the facility.
• Provide rapid response in critical situations.
• Read and write detailed reports.
• Know when and how to enforce Newrest procedures, regulations and standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable requirements related to product and service quality, environmental standards, food safety, and health and safety regulations.
• Promote a safe and healthy work environment by preventing work-related injuries and illnesses, eliminating hazards, and reducing health and safety risks.
• Comply with Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP)/General manufacturing practices (GMP) guidelines for personal hygiene and observe security precautions as mandated by unit management.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED preferred. Previous security, military, law enforcement, or customer service experience preferred.

• Ability to write clear and accurate reports.
• Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Must pass background check and any airport clearance requirements.
• Flexible schedule availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for long periods.
• Ability to lift 25 pounds occasionally.
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Must be able to respond quickly in emergency situations.
